Sheffield Wednesday's Under-18s boss Jordan Broadbent has reflected on his 'incredibly rewarding' career at the club after departing for non-league outfit Buxton. Broadbent, a Wednesday supporter, played a key role in the development of several Owls youngsters who graduated to the first-team during the 2025/26 season. He developed a strong reputation throughout his time at Hillsborough, being recognised for the role he played in the development of Wednesday's upcoming stars. Broadbent posted on X (formerly Twitter): 'What a journey......... This is a really emotional post for me because @swfc has always meant more than just a job.' He thanked all the players, staff, and everyone connected with the football club, who made his time here so enjoyable. Watching their young players grow, improve, and take steps towards their ambitions has been incredibly rewarding, and he's learned so much from everyone at this great football club. Broadbent will now get the opportunity to test himself as a manager at senior level, a role which will see him coach former Owls youngsters Will Trueman and Connor Kirby, who are members of Buxton's first-team squad.
